Computer System Administration Using Windows NT Server

Abstract: In the first part of diploma work the differences between the workstation and the network
operating system are described. Then Windows NT operating system was considered and its possibilities
to establish the client-server computer network. Different domain models were described that are
provided on the Windows NT Server system and the one domain systems were studied in detail.
In the main part of diploma work the tools and procedures for daily administration of the working
system are described, user management, management of their environment, properties of the file
system, management of different shared resources and resource auditing.
The knowledge gathered was used to build the test network system.
