Abstract:

In this diploma thesis we have described work technologies, modern languages, tools, and basic principles for the building the whole IS system.

The first part contains a short introduction of technologies and programming languages that are used for developing such large and scalable systems.

The second part contains description of design and used architecture, the problems that occur when developing large systems and graphical user interfaces, and the generation and rendering of detailed reports suitable for process monitoring.

The last part contains a description of graphical user interface and business logic for process monitoring within large Slovene company "Talum". some particularities of interface developing, which bring the look and functionality of the interface close to those characteristic for process monitoring environment, are described. We focused on the design and implementation of interfaces and converters between the existent production control and visualization system and business information system.
