Applet Manual

Applet structure

Applet opens two windows. In the first one main view of signal in time an frequency scale is presented. In the second the controls for the signal frequency, sample frequency, animation speed and estimated frequency (measured form the FFT) are presented.

Main view

All the signals can be moved and resized. By clicking on the graph, the rectangle appears, which enables to move and resize the graphs. Signal in time scale consists of three graphs. They can be separately selected (the top one) by holding shift key when clicking on them.

Controls

The dialog consists of signal frequency, sample frequency, FFT precision, graph display and animation control. Signal and sample frequency consists of three scroll bars. The most left one presents the starting frequency of animation, the most right one presents the end frequency. The scrollbar in the middle presents current frequency in animation. Current signal and sample frequency are printed blue bellow those bars. Estimated frequency, calculate from the FFT and sample frequency presents the measured frequency without knowing the original frequency. Real and measured frequency can differed because of sampling theorem.

Examples

f = 5 Hz - 50 Hz
fs= 20 Hz - 20 Hz

f = 50 Hz - 50 Hz
fs= 500 Hz - 1 Hz
