Unobtrusive sensing of personal health parameters by using cameras integrated in mobile devices (Camera4Health)
(Scientific collaboration between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Jan. 1, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2017)
A. Aim
The proposed project addresses the design, evaluation and implementation of a system able to detect the human vital signs using only facial video information coming from a standard handheld device camera.
B. Role of the System Software Laboratory (UM-FERI)Both project partners will participate in all project activities, which are coordinated and adjusted by the UM-FERI team. UM-FERI is also responsible for the following research:
- Detection of heartbeats based on facial colour changes.
- Establishing colour consistency for facial skin.
- Detection of emotions and mood from facial expressions.
- Detection of the stress level from facial expressions.
